InDesign mini project: [in]form

For our latest project we had to use the InDesign skills we learned in class to create document that was informative. We could only use text for this project so it was a bit different from what I normally do. Usually I’ll have text along with some kind of graphic so it was interesting to say the least. My partner came up with the idea to use the Milwaukee Skyline as our focus. We decided that we would fill the outline of the city with different facts about Milwaukee and use scientific facts for objects like the lake and sun. We also liked the idea of having the bottom part of the article be a reflection since it is supposed to be water. ¬†I researched most of the facts while my partner tried to tackle InDesign to create our article. To say the least I learned a lot about Milwaukee that I didn’t know before and I picked up a few InDesign tricks. ¬†Working with this program has really sparked an interest in me and has inspired me to learn more about it. I think our project came out pretty well considering the minor challenges we had with the text!
